K24 is a 24-channel mobile recording system available for location sessions anywhere with a power outlet. Battery operation is possible depending on the setup.
The system uses high-quality preamps and converters throughout - API, AML, Hairball, Antelope, Focusrite - and operates silently, making it suitable for locations where noise is a constraint: rehearsal spaces, residential buildings, historical venues, outdoor sessions.
Recordings can be delivered as Pro Tools sessions, raw stems at the agreed format and sample rate, or post-produced and mixed in Berlin.
The session template I use for K24 location work: 24 input tracks, four stereo cue mixes for the musicians, stock EQ and compression bypassed on every channel, and no third-party plugins to install. 48 and 44.1 kHz, recording at 32-bit float.
